Monday, October 8th, 2007While I was in the Rhone I visited an estate called Domaine Viret more out of curiosity than anything else. It is here outside of Vaison La Romaine that they practice “Cosmoculture” – the first of its kind.

The last day incorporated Beaucastel, the most famous of Châteauneuf du Pape domaines.

On to the Southern Rhone, one of my favourite regions. There is such an absolute beauty that one becomes revitalised at once.
Last year I came across a new Crozes Hermitage producer for Goedhuis & Co. called Robert Rousset. They are a wonderfully friendly family who have one of the best parcels in Crozes called Les Picaudières.
