2008 was recognised internationally as the “year of the Frog”, but there was nothing green about the 2008 white Burgundies.

At the end of last week we opened 130 barrel samples from the 2008 Burgundy vintage that our man Harry had very kindly collected in his van from each of our domaines

An e-mail from a client that made us all smile:
“I appreciate that I am an ignorant novice but by universal acclaim i.e. me and the wife, the Hermitage JL Chave was a nice drop

I was completely bowled over by many of the Burgundies at our En Primeur Tasting yesterday. Write ups will follow but here are the pictures to whet your apetites:

The Goedhuis Christmas party is a straightforward affair - lots of delicious food and rather too much excellent wine.
The food came from Upton Smokery (really delicious smoked salmon)
