My love affair with wine began at an early age and after finishing studying at University in Newcastle, I decided to ditch the Brown Ale and head to France and drink the good stuff.

In 2010 I worked at Chateau Bauduc in Créon, Bordeaux. Here I assisted with making some excellent Merlot along with some super Blanc. Their wine has been the house wine in Gordon Ramsay and Rick Stein’s restaurants. Let’s hope my brew meets their standards.

I am in the process of completing my WSET Diploma. I am a big fan of Burgundy. Favourite growers include Alain Hudelot Noellat and Etienne Grivot. I love Bordeaux and having spent some time down there, it has certainly left a lasting impression on me. I am learning a lot about Italian wines. Love the Sesti's from Montalcino….awesome wines!

I love sport and Box every week. Took part in the Boodles Boxing Ball 2011, and won! You will occasionally find me cheering on Spurs at the Lane. Which doesn’t go down well here. I wonder why?
