After a fantastic New Year on the peninsula we moved on further east to the Walker Bay region. We decided to take the coastal road en route to Hermanus
This year, I spent the New Year and much of January in South Africa. I could definitely get used to beating away the January blues with 40 degree heat and daily sunshine!
In order to have the samples for our Rhone Tasting in the best possible condition, we sent our latest recruit, Harry Scott-Dempster, off in a Transit van to collect the bottles.
I am sorry for this cliché but in Burgundy 2008 is truly a miracle vintage. It has been said about so many vintages recently but 2008 is really something extraordinary.
